The Isle of Purbeck is a mecca for walkers, Mountain bikers and even surfers (Kimmeridge Bay) Sailing, windsurfing and Kite Surfing are abundant in nearby Poole Harbour (2nd largest natural harbour in the World) and Horse riding, Sea Kayaking at the famous unspoilt Studland beach which features 3 separate parking areas, 2 cafes. Sea fishing is available within 10 minutes drive and Mountain Bike Hire is available from Wareham Railway Station and the Park and Ride for Corfe Castle railway.

Corfe Castle is 10 miles from Lulworth Cove, 20 miles from Dorchester and 10 miles from Bournemouth with attractions such as Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World only a short drive from the Cottage.
