CAMPING
We have secured a wild camping field at Burnbake a famous camping site on the Rempstone estate near to Studland Bay and close to the hub (10 mins by car ). Toilets are in the next field and there are no other amenities but prices start at £12 per night. Let us know if you are interested in this e mail support@nordicwalking.co.uk

We also recommend these great local campsites:-

Acton Field is also just across the road from HQ with views over Swanage Bay www.actonfieldcampsite.co.uk

Toms Field is a legendary rustic campsite near to the Hub and NWUK HQ – it is also on the famous Priests way but it is not bookable in advance www.tomsfieldcamping.co.uk

For more sophisticated camping you could try the Camping Club site at Corfe Castle www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk

Or Norden Farm between Corfe Castle and Wareham www.nordenfarm.com

LODGES
If you fancy the romance of camping with more facilities why not check out the lodges at Burnbake (book 3 together and get a group discount) www.burnbakelodges.com or the new Safari Tents at Langton – close to the hub and a unique luxury experience.

TRANSPORT
For those without cars we will have bookable transfers meeting the key trains from London to Wareham and there will be a car share register for lifts to the walks – you MUST notify us in advance if you are attending without transport – email support@nordicwalking.co.uk

There is a steam train from Corfe Castle to Swanage (www.swanagerailway.co.uk) and a great bus service (www.purbeckbreezer.co.uk) Please note, whilst walks will be starting from the HUB on the Saturday in order that we have a nice gathering for the challenge walkers as they come in – many will also start at other locations around the Isle of Purbeck (especially on the Friday and Sunday) and full directions will be given when you register for them. We will let you know travel time from the hub and also parking information. We want you to experience the full range of hills, rugged coast and moorland plus the history and culture of our amazing ‘Island’.
